Saniconcentrates™ are made with the aid of patented innovative techniques that allows you to make products with a surface that is more resistant to the attack by microbes and bacteria. The Parx Plastics materials do not contain biocides. The materials received a change on a micrometrical scale which results in an antiseptic and antibacterial characteristics on the surface of a product. The development and proliferation of bacteria on the surface of the object are slowed down and the microbes and bacteria count is being strongly reduced compared to a normal material and this is achieved by merely a mechanical/physical surface property.

Objects and products produced with the aid of Saniceoncentrate™ obtain antiseptic and antibacterial properties proven by test according to ISO 22196 and JIS Z 2801 standard.


Effectiveness up to 99% according to ISO22196
Objects and products produced with the aid of  Saniconcentrate™ are better protected against germs and bacteria to guarantee the security of a clean and hygienic surface. By applying ISO 22196:2011 for the ‘Measurement of antibacterial activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces’ the materials prove to have an antibacterial activity of up to 99%.

No nanomaterial’s
Nano-materials are hard to control as because of their nonmetric size (in at least one dimension) they will migrate. These particles are able to penetrate skin and cells while they can be very powerful. What do we know about the possible health risks of exposure to nanomaterial’s? This is something that needs much further assessment and hence more regulations are imminent for these solutions. For these reasons Parx Plastics is not using nanoparticles or nano materials.

Biocompatible
The Parx Plastics technology is considered biomimicry and makes use of a biocompatible element: the trace-element Zinc. It is not the metal state Zinc, but the trace element humans need to have a healthy immune system and to build up and maintain cells, skin, hair, nails and tissue. In our diet Zinc is a required nutrient which we need on a daily bases to keep us healthy.

No Silver, no heavy metals
Silver and silver ions are toxic for humans, animals and our environment. It can be very efficient, but the use should be restricted to when it is absolutely necessary (medically). The overuse of silver raises concerns as it may cause harmful health effects and it can create resistant bacteria. Antimicrobial silver solutions have been found in our oceans and it is known to negatively impact aquatic life.

Intrinsic property
The changes in materials resulting from the patent treatment process of Parx Plastics is bringing forth an intrinsic property. It is like an inert characteristic that can be compared with a build-in immune system achieved by a change on a PPM (Parts Per Million) scale. The technology can be integrated without migration so the antibacterial property does not degrade or fade away: it will last forever.

the technology

The Parx Plastics technology is not using heavy metals such as silver, no nano-materials, no biocides, no pesticides, no chemicals like Triclosan, no quaternary salts, etc. We are not using any harmful substances at all. We are merely creating a change in the mechanical/physical properties of the material by using a bodily own trace element.
